Is your PSP Unhackable? Find out if your PSP is able to Downgrade
PSP 1000 AKA PSP FAT
All PSP 1000 models, regardless of firmware, are able to downgrade using a Pandora Battery and Magic Memory Stick.
PSP 2000 AKA PSP SLIM
Most of the older SLIM models are able to downgrade and even some of the newer ones, however most models manufacturered last summer are not capable of downgrading.
The TA-088V3 motherboard cannot be hacked yet, however the newer TA-090V1 can.
Here’s how to determine if your PSP SLIM is able to downgrade:
What firmware came with your PSP?
If your PSP SLIM came with 4.01 firmware or newer, chances are it has the TA-088V3 motherboard and is unable to downgrade.
What is the SERIAL number of your PSP?
The serial number is located underneath the battery cover. If the serial number starts with HU2 or AB02, your PSP may have the TA-088V3 Motherboard.
What Box CODE?
(No Letter) = 3.60
A = 3.71
B = Unknown
C = 3.72
D = Unknown
E = 3.80
F = 3.90
G = 3.95 (TA-088v1) / 4.01 (TA-088v2) / 4.01 (TA-088v3)
